PAID OPPORTUNITY for WA trans and gender diverse creatives!

05/10/2020 Off By admin

Sexual Health Quarters and the WA AIDS Council have commenced an exciting new project with a primary focus on supporting trans and gender diverse people in WA, with funding provided by the WA Department of Health.

This project will adopt a harm-reduction approach, and seek to:
• increase knowledge and perceptions of risk around sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (BBVs)
• identify and reduce barriers to accessing health and support services
• raise awareness of sexual health testing pathways

The project will see through the development of a resource/s that aims to improve STI and BBV outcomes for trans and gender diverse people.

Key elements of the project include engaging and consulting closely with the trans community, which means we’d love to hear from writers (potentially digital content and script writers), illustrators, videographers, and photographers who are interested in adding their voice to the resource/s! Along with being a paid opportunity, it’s an exciting chance to be part of a resource we hope we can all be really proud of, and can go on to make a difference in our community!
The successful applicants will work closely with the project steering committee, and it is envisaged the work will commence in late October. As the resource is being developed for WA audiences, we’d love to hear from WA-based creatives!
