17/03/2020 COVID-19 Update
The M Clinic strives to ensure that the health and well-being of our clientele is maintained.
To ensure social distancing is maintained, we will be restricting the number of clients in reception at any one time. If you are attending the PrEP clinic (especially on Wednesdays), you may receive a text to ask you to wait in your car until we advise you to enter reception. Please do your best to maintain 1.5 metres distance from other clients at all times, engage in regular hand washing and cough etiquette.
In efforts to promote social distancing and help reduce the onward transmission of COVID-19, the M Clinic will not be taking bookings for non-essential appointments from Monday the 23rd of March. Non-essential appointments include asymptomatic screening and PrEP appointments.
If you have an appointment (whether essential or non-essential) on or after the 23rd of March, it has not been cancelled. This is subject to change depending on what the next week may hold.
It is vital that you call the clinic and inform staff prior to entering the clinic for an appointment if you have any of the following:
- You have fever, cough, sore throat or flu-like symptoms
- You have traveled overseas in the past 14 days
- You are a confirmed or suspected contact of COVID-19
- You are in quarantine or self-isolation for COVID-19 or being a contact of COVID-19.
The PrEP clinic is looking at ways of engaging in telehealth for those who are classified as highly vulnerable to COVID-19.
Lastly, please be kind to each other in these unsure times. Our community as a whole has had a turbulent history and has proven to be highly resilient. There are vulnerable members of society that need our help now more than ever. Let those people know that you’ve looking out for them.
