Drug and Alcohol Clinic Now Available at M Clinic for Free!
M Clinic have teamed up with Next Step Drug and Alcohol Services in East Perth in order to provide a Drug & Alcohol Clinic. Two peer (gay-identified) medical professionals from Next Step will be providing Drug & Alcohol Information, Counselling, & Referrals at M Clinic.
What Does This Service Involve?
The Drug and Alcohol clinic will work with you to support your goals in a non-judgemental and confidential setting. This may involve providing education and information around drugs and alcohol, including harm minimisation advice; support and counselling to work towards reducing or ceasing use; or referrals for other services that can help you.
If you’re not sure what you want to do, but you just want to chat to someone about your drug and/or alcohol usage, this is a perfect opportunity!
Is This Just For Clients of M Clinic?
No – if you have never attended M Clinic before you can still attend a Drug & Alcohol support appointment. This service is only for people who identify as a man who has sex with other men, including trans men.
When Can I Come in?
The Drug & Alcohol Support appointments are running fortnightly on a Tuesday afternoon, 1-4pm. You can book online, call us on (08) 9227 0734, or walk in on the day (subject to appointment availability)
Can I Have a Test at the Same Time?
It may be possible to schedule a test before or after the drug/alcohol support appointment – it would be best to call us on (08) 9227 0734 to schedule this in advance, otherwise it is unlikely that testing time will be available without a prior appointment.
M Clinic staff are available to answer any other questions you may have about the Drug/Alcohol clinic.
